What is a School Counselor?
Let’s Succeed Together
School counselors offer individual counseling to help students resolve personal or interpersonal problems. They may also offer small group counseling to help students enhance listening and social skills, learn to empathize with others, and find social support through healthy peer relationships.
I’ve been a professional School Counselor since 2007. I believe in maintaining a positive mindset, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for significant outcomes. When you work with me, you should expect a collaboration with transparency and consistency. I am data driven as I like to use data to drive results.
On a personal note, I am married with three children and I enjoy basketball. I am originally from Virginia. I attended Norfolk State University for undergrad and Virginia State for my Masters. I also received my admin license from Gardner Webb University. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Advanced Human Development, while working to obtain my Licensed Professional Counseling Associate credential. I thoroughly enjoy being a counselor and working with students and families to help them in creating successful outcomes.
